May the force be with keane
Trim jockey Colin Keane brought his tally of winners for the season to 44 when he was involved in a local success at Tramore today.
Keane had the steering duties on the Robbie Hennessy-trained Magnetic Force which is owned by syndicate comprised mainly of staff at St Vincent's Hospital in Fairview, Dublin who comprise the Round Table Gang Syndicate.
The grey Magnetic Force won the two-mile handicap at the Waterford track with plenty to spare.
Keane eased Magnetic Force into second place in the dip and then overhauled leader Mr Boss and surged into the lead up the hill.
Magnetic Force has an entry at Tramore again tomorrow in a two-mile and five handicap hurdle - a decision will be made in the morning about running.
Magnetic Force beat the well-regarded Clondaw Warrior in a handicao hurdle in 2013.
As a two-year-old Magnetic Force was trained by Sir Michael Soute, but has been with his present trainer since 2010.
