Silverware starts a part weekend in drumconrath
Drumconrath took the B FL title following an exciting final against St Brigid's in the decider this evening at Pairc Tailteann where they won impressively by 1-14 to 0-9.
The game produced plenty of open and fast-paced football as Drumconrath took their first piece of silverware in a number of years to the delight of their large numbers of supporters.
Drumconrath were ahead by the minimum (0-7 to 0-6) at the inetrval following a first-half in which they tallied nine wides with some woeful finishing.
Drumconrath were more accurate in the second-half and when Daniel Byrne finished a fine move to the net at the three-quarter stage there was no way back for St Brigid's.
The Ballinacree side finished with 14 players after Stephen Skelly collected a second yellow card on the stroke of full-time.
