Hosted in the beautiful heritage town of Dalkey, Co Dublin, this festival is a unique fusion of incredible local seafood and the best of current global jazz musicians, making the Dalkey Lobster Festival a fantastic weekend for all the family with plenty to see, do and eat including lots of free events to take part in across the three days.

Following from the success of previous years, Dalkey expects to welcome an additional 40,000 visitors across the weekend to the scenic coastal village that plays a perfect host to this lively and much loved festival. Festival-goers can enjoy great music with local and international artists including Bagatelle, Paddy Sherlock, MacFleetwood, Jamie Duff, The Cuban All Stars to name but a few.

To kick start the festivities in style, the 'Deliveroo' Lobster Fest Launch will take on Friday 28th August at 6pm in the Dalkey Parish Car Park with The GIANT Lobster Show & Thrilling Fire performance, followed by a ticketed show by Bagatelle supported by Paddy Sherlock.

The fabulous local restaurants, pubs and cafés of Dalkey will be serving up some of the best Irish seafood in this unique relaxed setting and local businesses will be carrying out live interactive cooking demos, using only the finest locally sourced lobster and crab. The streets of Dalkey village will be bustling with its giant lobster, street performers, face painters, balloon artists and much more and a selection of retailers will also have special offers available across the three days.

This year’s proud sponsors are Deliveroo, 98FM, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council and Failte Ireland and the Festivals chosen charity partner for 2015 is The Down Syndrome Centre.

Event organiser, David Coulson of The Tramyard Dalkey said: “We are delighted to welcome visitors to Dalkey for this now renowned festival. This village has a strong heritage in spectacular seafood and we just love to share that with our visitors.
