Ian dempsey returns to live tv
Following an eventful week which saw Adele King and her lovable dog Teddy join Lucy as co-host of The Seven O’Clock Show, TV3 embrace even more favourite faces as guest presenters.
Today FM’s Ian Dempsey and Louise Duffy will take to the couch this week to fill in for Lucy and Martin who are both taking a well-deserved break.
It’ll be Dempsey’s first live TV show in nearly 20 years as he juggles presenting The Seven O’Clock Show with broadcasting to the nation every morning on Today FM.
Dempsey said: “As a presenter I haven’t been on live TV for 20 years so this should be interesting! I know that Louise has a lot to talk about but I hope she gives me an opportunity to speak at some stage during the 60 minutes.”
And Louise is also looking forward to getting to work with Ian again. She said: “The only thing I miss about my very early mornings is getting to work with Ian every day, so I'm so excited to join him again for a week on the couch on ‘The Seven O'Clock Show’!”
A spokesperson for TV3 said: “Everyone will remember Ian from his telly days presenting ‘Dempsey’s Den’. It’s hard to believe it’s been over 20 years - We’re delighted and excited that he’ll be presenting ‘The Seven O’Clock Show’ alongside Louise next week and we’re looking forward to seeing what surprise guests might pop in to see him. Maybe Zig and Zag will travel from Zog to see their old pal!”
‘The Seven O’ Clock Show’ will be hosted by Ian Dempsey and Louise Duffy from 24th to Thursday 27th August, weeknights at 7pm on TV3.
