Kilmessan advance to leinster camogie final
Kilmessan camogie manager John Watters (pictured) was smiling last night after watching his team advance to the Leinster Intermediate Camogie final with a solid victory only days after winning the Meath title.
The Kilmessan players didn't have too much time to recover from the exertions of their Senior Camogie title success last Sunday against Dunboyne, a game they won by 6-11 to 2-3 at Rathmolyon, as they faced Wicklow champions Donard/Glen in the Leinster semi-final last night at the Wicklow venue.
The Kilmessan players produced an excellent performance last night to emerge with a 2-19 to 1-6 victory.
The pace won't slacken this week either as next up for the determined Kilmessan players is a Leinster final this Sunday against Johnstownbridge (Kildare).
No time or venue has been announced yet, but a decision is imminent from the Camogie Association.
Kilmessan will be aiming to retain their Leinster title and then move on to the All-Ireland series as reigning champions.
