Armed robbery in dunboyne
Staff and customers were subjected to a terrifying ordeal after being ordered to lie on the floor during an armed robbery at a Dunboyne Pharmacy yesterday evening.
At approximately 8pm two men carrying handguns entered the ‘Your Local Pharmacy’ premises, on Main Street, Dunboyne, and forced staff and customers to lie on the floor.
One of the culprits stood guard at the door of the pharmacy while the second forced a member of staff to fill a black gym bag with cash.
Both culprits left the scene and got into a silver Renault classic with a O1 D registration which had been parked outside on the footpath. They left the scene and travelled in the direction of Clonee Village. At approximately 8.20pm this vehicle was found on fire in Tyrellstown, Dublin 15.
Witnesses at Tyrellstown reported seeing two men get into a taxi and leave the scene. Enquiries have established that these men were dropped at the entrance to Corduff Estate in Mulhuddart, Dublin 15.
