Moore smiling after solstice storms home at Chepstow
Meath jockey Killian Moore from Dunmoe outside Navan made a welcome return to the winners enclosure at Chepstow today when he landed the opening race on the card.
The Navan jockey won a conditional handicap hurdle with Solstice Star which was returned at 6/1 after coming in from a morning price of 12/1.
It was success at the 11th attempt for the Martin Keighley-trained Solstice Star as Moore returned to the winners' enclosure for the first time since winning with Dun Scaith at Bangor last May.
Today at Chepstow Solstice Star made all the running in the two-mile event and was well clear early in the race for an easy win.
Killian is the son of Patrick and Jacinta Moore from Dunmoe and has been in England now for five years. He is based mainly with trainer Sophie Leech at Westbury-On-Severn in Gloucestershire.
