Winner at Catterick for Navan jockey
After enduring a lengthy spell without a winner, Navan jockey Killian Moore from Dunmoe has now had three winners in a month on the tough National Hunt circuit in England.
The young Meath jockey is steadily making a name for himself and he added another winner to his tally today when he was on the mark at Catterick today where he won the opening race on the card, a conditional handicap hurdle.
Moore was on board the Alex Hales-trained Running Wolf and won in an exciting finish by a head.
Running Wolf started to make headway about five from home and was in front at the last, but had to battle all the way to the line as Claude Carter (second) and Mondlicht (third) challenged to within a head and a neck of the winner which was returned at 12/1.
