Limerick for Dunboyne ladies
For the lady footballers from Dunboyne this week all roads lead to Limerick on Saturday as the Meath women take on Bantry Blues at the Gaelic Grounds in the All-Ireland Ladies Junior Football final with the throw-in timed for 1.30pm.
It has been a good year for the Dunboyne Ladies who were nominated last month as the 2015 Meath Ladies Club of the Year after a tremendous season.
The adult team achieved a win over St Ultan's in the Div 1 FL final back in May and that signalled their intent for the Championship.
The Meath JFC title followed in September with a win over Clann na nGael in Paddy O’Brien Park, Navan.
Aoife Thompson sealed a wonderful performance with the Player of the Match accolade and since then Dunboyne have not looked back, winning a Leinster Junior Club Championship title in October and they have now qualified for the All-Ireland Junior final.
