Meath to play Wicklow or Leitrim on Saturday
Meath u-21 footballers will be back in action next Saturday again when they travel to a Longford venue (to be confirmed) to play in the Hastings Shield semi-final against either Wicklow or Leitrim.
Meath finished third in their group after Saturday's defat by Westmeath at Dunganny, but the Wicklow v Leitrim game was postponed on Saturday due to an unplayable pitch.
No alternative could be found in time and that game will now take place this Wednesday night - possibly at a Kildare venue.
Meath will play the loser of that game (fourth place in Group 2) while Roscommon will play the winner of the game.
The extra game will certainly be a bonus for Meath manager Sean Barry and his selectors who are continuing their preparations for the Leinster u-21 FC quarter-final against Dublin in March.
