Meath to face Leitrim or Roscommon in Shield final
Meath u-21 footballers got back to action in the Hastings Shield semi-final today when they travelled to Kilmacud Crokes in Dublin to tackle Wicklow and earned a place in the final against Roscommon or Leitrim next Saturday with a comprehensive 3-16 to 1-9 victory.
The game between Roscommon and Leitrim was abandoned today close to half-time following an injury to a Leitrim player. Roscommon were ahead by 0-7 to 0-5 at the time.
Against Wicklow today, Meath were ahead by 2-12 to 1-2 at the interval and were always well in control with the first-half goals coming from Sean Meade.
