McEntee guides Dubliners to St Patrick's Day All-Ireland final
Andy McEntee's winning run as manager of Leinster SFC Club champions Ballyboden St Enda's continued today at O'Moore Park, Portlaoise when the Dubliners neegotiated Clonmel Commercials in the All-Ireland semi-final by 0-15 to 0-10 after extra-time.
Ballyboden St Enda's trailed by 0-4 to 0-5 at the interval and produced a superb recovery with 14 men to claim their place in the decider on St Patrick's Day in Croke Park.
McEntee's men lost midfielder Declan O'Mahoney to a red card midway through the second-half at a stage when they trailed by three points.
Andrew Kerin and Colm Basquel pointed to leave the minimum between the sides entering stoppage time, but Clonmel countered with a point.
Kerin from a free and Darragh Nelson were on the mark again to force extra-time (0-10 each) during which Clonmel lost Michael Quinlivan to a black card.
Ballyboden hit five unanswered points to complete the great recovery as the Dublin side with the Meath manager marched on to the decider.
