Four changes for Meath minors
Meath manager Barry Callaghan has made four changes from the side that defeated Offaly in the opening round of the Leinster MFL for Saturday’s second round clash with Longford in Slane at 2pm.
Goalkeeper Dean Reddy will be replaced by Dunshaughlin net minder Adam McDermott, while Summerhill’s Diarmuid McCabe will come in for Sean Reilly at wing back.
Jason Scully’s place at corner forward will be taken by Carnaross’s Frank O’Reilly and in a positional and personnel switch Cian O’Neill will move from midfield to centre-back with Daragh Campion coming in to fill the number nine shirt as Kevin Gilsenan makes way in attack where last week’s centre-back Eoin Smyth will take over.
Manager Callaghan and selectors Darren Fay and Paddy Reynolds will get another chance to assess their panel following last week’s impressive 2-10 to 1-5 victory over Offaly in the competition that features some experimental rules.
The game will throw-in at Slane at 2pm with referee Sean McCarthy in charge.
