Walkover for Meath minor footballers
Meath minor footballers will have to wait on the result from the other game in the group between Offaly and Longford to find out whether they qualify for the semi-finals of the competition after it emerged that Limerick will not field tomorrow for the vital game at Dunganny.
Meath were scheduled to play Limerick tomorrw after winning the first round against Offaly and playing a draw with Longford last week, but Limerick conceded a walkover this evening.
That is not mucg benefit to Meath manager Barry Callaghan and may raise questions about the inclusion of non-Leinster teams going forward even allowibng for the fact that the grade will be u-17 for 2018 following a decision at the GAA Congress this evening.
