Hammersley out of Meath panel
Although it was indicated last Sunday that Tipperary's Timmy Hammersley was absent from the starting 15 for Meath's NHL Div 2B shock defeat by Mayo due to injury, it has now emerged that the All-Ireland winner has left the panel.
Hammersley was included in the starting 15 for the first round game against Wicklow which Meath won and he contributed three points to that victory.
No team was announced prior to the second round game against Mayo and injury was citted as the reason for his omission from the starting 15.
However, it now appears that the Tipperary man has left the panel although the reason is not clear at this stage.
Meath will face Donegal in the third round of the NHL Div 2B on Sunday 6th March and will then have to travel to play Armagh and Down in rounds four and five.
