Important meeting for NEFL clubs

The North East Football League (NEFL) will host an important club meeting next week on Tuesday 15th March at the Ardboyne Hotel, Navan, 8pm.

All clubs must be represented by at least one official up to a maximum of three.

While some of the normal items will feature on the agenda, the main focus will be devoted to addressing some of the problems identified as contributory factors to a drop off in participating playing numbers over the past few seasons.

In particular, the current campaign will be discussed after two clubs with teams in the top Sunday and Saturday divisions having to withdraw for various reasons.

“It is intended to structure the meeting in such a way to encourage a full interaction from all attendees, putting a clear emphasis on wider issues rather than current matters,” commented NEFL secretary Gerry Gorman.
