Fifth half marathon for Bohermeen AC

Bohermeen Athletic Club will host the fifth annual Meath spring half marathon and 10k road race this Sunday, 13th March and the main sponsor of the event his year is local business Codam Building Service.

The event had now grown to be one of the most popular in Ireland with 1,200 participants last year and a similar number is anticipated for next Sunday's event.

According to club officials, there could be some international athletes in action next Sunday.

There will be traffic management in operation on the course route which runs via Neilstown, Boyerstown, Athboy Road and Ongentstown and athletes are advised to arrive early as park will be approx one mile from Bohermeen Community Centre.

The 10k race will start at 11.30 am and the half marathon will head off at midday.
