Tara collision claims life of man in 30s

A man in his 30s died this evening in a collision at Clowanstown, Tara.

Gardai in Dunshaughlin are investigating a single vehicle road traffic collision that claimed the life of the man at Tara Stud on the N3, between Ross Cross and Dunshaughlin.

The collision occurred when his car struck a wall. The deceased man was the sole occupant, and was seriously injured and taken to Our Lady's Hospital, Navan, where he was later pronounced dead.

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators attended at the scene and there was  a contra-flow traffic system in operation for a period. The road has re-opened.
