Yellow Furze girls qualify for Leinster finals
There was success for Meath schools at the SPAR FAI PRIMARY 5s North Leinster finals at the MDL yesterday with the girls from Yellow Furze flying the Royal County flag.
Three Meath schools advanced to next week's Leinster finals when winning their groups of the North Leinster Finals.
The boys from Mount Hanover NS defeated their counterparts from Louth, Longford and Westmeath while the girls from Yellow Furze NS and the boys from Dunboyne SNS also advanced from their groups to next Thursday's provincial deciders.
The MDL in Navan will also host next week's action.
The girls from Yellow Furze maintained the good form they displayed in the Meath qualifiers where they won the Section B title with wins over Skryne, Donore and Kilcloon for coach Liz Halpenny.
In the Meath competition the boys from Dunboyne defeated St Stephen's, St Paul's (Ratoath) and St Seachnall's to win the Section C title while Mount Hanover captured the Meath Secrion A title for coach Enda Ruddy.
