Appeal following Dunboyne assault
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault in Dunboyne in the early hours of this morning. A man was found lying on the ground outside the AIB Bank at around 12.45am. He had facial injuries and was unable to speak.
Enquiries indicate that he may have been involved in some sort of altercation with another male, during which he was assaulted and fell to the ground. The second male r is believed to have run off in the direction of Clonee.
The injured man, who is aged in his mid-twenties, was removed to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown by ambulance where he remains in a stable condition in the intensive care unit.
