National Award for Youthreach Progression in Navan.

A team from Youthreach Progression in Navan won the Youthreach Award at the Show Racism the Red Card creative competition awards ceremony in Dublin last week for their video, 'Diversity and Inclusion’.
The video– which was produced and directed by the young people from The Youthreach Progression – portrays a strong integration and equality message.
Show Racism the Red Card is an international anti-racism and education charity.  In Ireland, the organisation’s annual creative competition calls on young people to develop creative messages about racism and integration using written, visual and audiovisual means.
At last week’s awards ceremony, prizes were awarded for entries ranging from songs and raps to posters, videos and social media campaigns.
Over six hundred young people from youth groups, Youthreach services, and primary and secondary schools attended the awards ceremony in the Aviva Stadium.
Speaking at the event, Garrett Mullan, Executive Director of Show Racism the Red Card, congratulated the Meath winners on their fantastic entry and praised them for their commitment to the competition.
“The talent and creativity we saw in this year’s entries was better than ever before,” he said.  “The young people involved really demonstrated their commitment to promoting integration and anti-racism messages within their schools and wider communities and Youthreach Progression’s video is a shining example of this.”
The MC for the awards ceremony was sports presenter Tommy Martin, and special guests included Steve Guppy, coach to the Ireland football team; Cllr Ciaran Perry, Deputy Lord Mayor of Dublin; John Boyle, Vice-President of the INTO; Razan Ibraheem, a Syrian journalist based in Ireland, footballer Conan Byrne and boxer, Oisín Fagan, both of whom are Show Racism the Red Card ambassadors.
