Meath minors aiming for victory against Dublin
Meath will tackle Dublin the Leinster MFC quarter-final at Pairc Táilteann in Navan tomorrow in what will be an eagerly-awaited game with the throw-in set for 3pm.
Manager Barry Callaghan and his selectors Darren Fay and Paddy Reynolds will be looking for another match-winning performance similar to the victory achieved against Laois in the last round.
Meath played Dublin in the Leinster MFL semi-final at parnell park in Dublin last March and lost by six points (1-7 to 1-13) after trailing by three (1-4 to 1-7) at the interval.
Dublin made a positive start to that game and had the ball in the Meath net as early as the fourth minute when Conor Hynes finished well as they dominated the opening exchanges.
Meath battled with great determination and substitute Ethan Devine, who will start at midfield tomorrow, had a goalbound shot well saved in the closing stages as Meath went in search of an equaliser.
The Meath team for tomorrow's game shows a number of changes from that March contest with Adam McDermott, Conor Harnan, Daragh Campion and Niall Murphy all coming into the starting 15 while Brian O'Reilly, Devine and James Conlon were substitutes and will also start tomorrow.
The Meath team is: Adam McDermott (Dunshaughlin); Robbie Clarke (Skryne), Conor Harnan (Moynalvey), Brian O'Reilly (Moynalvey); James Cassidy (Moynalty), Eanna O'Kelly-Lynch (Wolfe Tones), Sean Reilly (Moylagh); Daragh Campion (Skryne), Ethan Devine (Na Fianna); Neil Murphy (Curraha), Cian O'Reilly (Carnaross), Eoin Smyth (Skryne); James Conlon (St Colmcille's), Frank O'Reilly (Carnaross), Jason Scully (Oldcastle).
