Green light for Aldi in Dunshaughlin
The opening of an Aldi supermarket in Dunshaughlin has moved a step closer with the granting of planning permission for the development.
Meath County Council has given the go-ahead to Aldi Stores (Ireland) Ltd to build a supermarket on a 0.61 hectares site on the Lagore Road, and to the rear of properties on the east side of Dunshaughlin’s Main Street.
The plans include the demolition of an existing building on the site and the construction of a single story discount foodstore, including off-licence, with a gross floor area of 1,540 sq metres and a net retail area of 1,140 sq metres.
Access is proposed from the Lagore Road.
The development also includes the erection of two free-standing double-sided illuminated signs, one internally illuminated gable sign, one poster sign and entrance glass signage as well as 94 car parking spaces.
