Come around for a puck around
Meath hurlers will open the doors to the public and young supporters for their final training session at Dunganny on Thursday (7.30pm) ahead of Saturday’s Christy Ring Cup final replay against Antrim at Croke Park.
Since being ordered to replay their disputed Ring Cup final by the GAA Meath have been training hard, but with preparations complete the team management and players have invited all young hurlers and supporters to join them in Dunganny on Thursday evening for a puck around with the players.
Children can try their luck taking penalties against one of the finest goalkeepers in the country Shane McGann, while all the top class players will offer tips and advice as well as joining in in a puck around.
The ground swell of support enjoyed by the Meath hurlers since the Christy Ring Cup debacle is sure to attract a huge crowd to Dunganny on Thursday, so youngsters are advised to get their early, bring their hurls and helmets and join the Meath hurlers for a puck around.
