Barry Geraghty sidelined after crashing fall at Market Rasen
Meath jockey Barry Geraghty could be out for up to two months or more after he sustained a broken arm in a crashing fall at Market Rasen today where he had one ride and was doing a low weight.
He sustained the injury when the JP McManus-owned Cernunnos fell at the final fence when challenging for the win in a handicap chase.
Last year the popular Meath jockey was sidelined for about four months from March to July and then just before he returned to action he was hospitalised with a kidney stone.
This time around the jockey has a broken right arm.
He will return to Ireland tomorrow and will have further assessment of the injury next week.
