Lily blooms at Tramore for Crawley

Meath trainer Shane Crawley who is based near Ratoath, but lives near Tara made the journey to Tramore pay dividends last night when he had a winner with Lily Yeats in a mares handicap hurdle.

Chris Timmons was on board the mare and he got a good run out of her once she settled.

Last May Crawley made the trip from Macetown, Tara to Bangor in Wales and recorded a fine win with Lily Yeats in a mares maiden hurdle.

She had since run unplaced in a good race at Kilbeggan in June.

Yesterday at Tramore it was a first outing in a handicap hurdle for the mare that is owned by Paddy McKeon from Naas.
