Ratoath make hay and history at Duleek
History was made at Duleek this evening when Rataoth won their first SFC game defeating St Patrick's 0-19 to 1-8.
In the other SFC games played his evening Blackhall Gaels defeated Rathkenny and Dunshaughlin edged out Moynalvey.
Ratoath led from start to finish at Duleek as they put in a power-packed display to get the better of their opponents.
At the break Ratoath led 0-11 to 0-4 and while St Pat's reduced the deficit early in the second-half with the help of a well-taken Niall Whearty goal there was no real threat to last year's IFC champions claiming their first eagerly-awaited win at their third attempt.
Eamon Wallace (pictured) was in outstanding form clocking up four points, the same amount scored by impressive midfielder Daragh Kelly. Bryan McMahon also made a hefty contribution with three points.
St Pat's will reflect on a series of missed goal chances with Ratoath goalkeeper, Jack O'Sullivan, making a number of outstanding saves from Daithi Whyte and Niall Whearty.
Ratoath's movement and fluency was, at times, very impressive and they could yet be a major force in this year's championship.
