Seneschalstown trailed for spells in this encounter - including the break when they were behind 1-2 to 0-6 - yet when it mattered they were able to find an extra gear.
When they got the ball into the forward division Davie Hosie's side always looked a threat
Their goal arrived on 13 minutes when Niall Hickey passed to Stephen Finnegan who fisted to the net from close range.
Brian Sheridan ended up as Seneschalstown's main score-getter with six points, three from frees while Johnny Gilsenan (three) and Joe Sheridan also pointed.
Blackhall Gaels created plenty of chances themselves in the driving rain but they also hit a massive 15 wides and that kind of profiligacy was always likely to prove costly.
Sean Whelan showed the way for them on the scoring front with four points from frees.
Seneschalstown created a number of good goal-scoring opportunities over the hour with Blackhall goalkeeper Timmy Dalton executing a number of excellent saves, most notably from Adam Gleeson and Finnegan. Gleeson also fired wind when in a good position in a different incident.
Despite those misses Seneschalstown did enough to secure their fourth win from four outings and sustained their impressive form.
