Harris hits late goal to secure Trim triumph
Josh Harris came on as a second-half substitute and scored a late goal that secured the u-14 FC Div 1 title and the Paddy O'Brien Cup at Paddy O'Brien Park earlier today.
Duleek/Bellewstown led for lenghty stretches in the game and it looked like they were going to clinch victory in this tie only to be caught by Harris's late intervention after he received a pass from Hugo Purcell.
This was a highly entertaining encounter with plenty of attacking football produced however it was Trim who went home with the trophy.
James Murray and Sean Foley found the net for Trim to give them a 2-4 to 1-4 interval advantage with John Cullen finding the target for Duleek/Bellewstown.
With the help of a goal from the outstanding Joe Hartford Dueek/Bellewstown edged themselves in front during the second-half however, Harris's late intervention proved crucial.
Afterwards the trophy was presented to Trim captain Danny Coleman.
