Referee targeted after All-Ireland semi-final
Referee David Gough was targeted by a number of fans as he left the pitch to a chorus of boos from Kerry supporters after Dublin's 0-22 to 2-14 All-Ireland SFC semi-final victory against the Minster side at Croke Park this afternoon.
The Slane clubman had items hurled in his direction as he left the field in what was an ugly incident that was witnessed by many people who voiced their displeasure at the behaviour of those involved.
The free count from the game favoured Dublin and some second-half decisions annoyed Kerry supporters who also highlighted a disputed '45' that went Dublin’s way.
There was also an incident in stoppage time when Kerry felt they should have had a free, but the referee let play continue.
