Audi A5 and motor boat among high-value haul recovered in Oldcastle

Gardai seized high-powered cars, a motorboat, ride-on lawn mowers and power tools following a search of a house in Oldcastle today.

As part of an on-going operation carried out under Operation Thor into organised crime in the eastern region, gardaí searched a house in Rassilagh, Oldcastle.

During the course of the search, Gardaí recovered a 2015 Audi A5, 2010 Audi A4 estate, a rigid inflatable boat and outboard motor, three ride on lawnmowers, a lawnmower and power tools.

The property is believed to have been stolen during burglaries in the midlands, particularly in counties Meath and Westmeath.

One man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and is detained at Kells Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
