Ballinlough completed their SFC group campaign with an encouraging performance this evening against Seneschalstown although they lost by a point, 0-9 to 0-10 after the sides were on level terms at half-time on 0-6 apiece.

Seneschalstown had already secured qualification and Ballinlough couldn't improve their position even with a win so it was a game with nothing at stake.

Kevin Devine scored seven points for Ballinlough and Bryan Clarke was the top man for Seneschalstown with four.

In the other SFC game tonight there was more at stake with both Ratoath and Duleek/Bellewstown playing for security with the winner guaranteed senior status next year.

Ratoath won by 4-14 to 0-10 after leading by 2-8 to 0-6 at the interval. Bobby O'Brien (two), Conor Rooney and Gavin McGowan scored the goals for Ratoath.

Duleek / Bellewstown now joing Ballinlough in the relegation play-off and they will be joined by the bottom team from the remaining SFC group.

In the IFC quarter-final tie played tonight Ballinabrackey edged out Donaghmore / Ashbourne by a point, 0-11 to 1-7.


In the Junior B FC quarter-final Trim defeated St Colmcille's by 3-11 to 2-8 in Dunshaughlin
