Meath players heading for shinty in Scotland
Longwood's Mickey Burke and Damien Healy along with James Toher (Trim) have been selected on the senior Irish team who will take on their Scottish counterparts at Bught Park, Inverness, on Saturday 2pm in the 2016 Senior Hurling/Shinty International series against Scotland.
Sean Quigley (Dunboyne) and David Reilly (Drumree) are part of the Irish u-21 panel for their game which gets underway at 11.50am.
Burke, Healy and Toher were part of the Irish squad for the 2015 shinty series.
The three Meath men on the senior team are among a star-studded team that includes Tipperary's All-Ireland-winning McGrath brothers, John and Noel.
The Premier County has three representatives on the Jeffrey Lynskey / Gregory O'Kane-managed outfit with Michael Breen also included.
