Lauryn Grier set for action
Local girl Lauryn Grier who plays with Kentstown Rovers will be in action this evening for the Republic of Ireland Women's u-17s as they prepare to open their UEFA European Championship campaign at Turner's Cross.
The Republic of Ireland host the Faroe Islands in the first of three qualifying games as they prepare to find a route to the Elite Round.
Having assembled a talented squad, manager Dave Bell now has the difficulty of selecting his starting 11 for the opening game.
As they prepare to kick-start their qualifying campaign - which will also see them take on Belarus and Iceland - Ireland are focused on making that first step count.
