Fairyhouse and Navan horseracing launch a big success
The launch of the national hunt racing season at Navan and Fairyhouse attracted a huge crowd of enthusiasts the the Knightsbrook Hotel in Trim this evening where racecourse managers Peter Killeen (Navan) and Peter Roe (Fairyhouse) outlined the schedules on stage with Irish Field editor Leo Powell.
Following that there was a panel discussion hosted by Dave Keena with trainers Noel Meade, Gordon Elliott, Gavin Cromwell, jockey Robbie Power and former jockey Paul Carberry along with Racing Post man David Jennings.

Possible winners were also nominated for a series of €100 charity bets and the two 'certs' are listed - Moulin A Vent 12.45 at Down Royal Friday and Bel Ami de Sivola in the 1.25 at Down Royal on Saturday
There was alao a special presentation from Fairyhouse and Navan rececourses to Paul Carberry in recognition of his contribution to racing.
