Meath GAA nominations released
Only two of the outgoing officers of the Meath GAA Co Board look set to be returned unopposed following the release of the nominations for the election of officers at the Convention which will be held in Navan O'Mahonys clubhouse on Monday 12th December.
Treasurer Jim Mullery from Slane and Irish officer Cathal Seioghe from Clann na nGael will run unopposed for their positions.
Outgoing chairman Conor Tormey is seeking reelection for his fifth and final term as is outgoing PRO Martin O'Halloran.
Tormey is likely to face opposition from Walterstown's Eamonn Barry with Kiltale's Paddy Kelly and Drumconrath's Peter O'Halloran also listed as being in the running.
Barry's five-year term as coaching officer ends at convention and a new name will have to be elected with Ciaran Flynn (Dunsany), Greg Carry from Castletown, Trim's Noel Dempsey and Drumconrath's Micheál Ó Gallachóir all nominated.
