Former Meath selector takes Naas role
Former Meath selector and Summerhill manager Declan McCabe has been installed as the new manager at Naas GAA club.
During his term with Summerhill the club won the Keegan Cup in 2011 and 2013 and then the Cavan native joined Mick O'Dowd as a selector on the Meath senior football team.
McCabe also won six senior football championships with Gowna in a successful club playing career.
He takes over at Naas from Sean Dempsey who stepped down from the position at the end of this year’s Kildare SFC campaign. Naas lost their last SFC game in September to Confey (1-13 to 3-11).
Naas bridged a 32 year gap to win their second u-21 FC this month with a narrow one point win over Moorefield.
