Michelle is the belle at Dundalk
It was a good night for east Meath at Dundalk Stadium as there was a first racecourse success for young Ardcath girl Michelle Hamilton and Stamullen trainer Peter Casey also sent out a winner - owned by his wife Junie and bred by himself.
Michelle Hamilton took 10lb off bottom weight Geological and won on board the Damien English-trained runner for her first winner on only her seventh ride.
She has been with trainer Garvan Donnelly for almost three years and this was her first ride for an outside trainer.
The win completed a first double for the Naul-based trainer.
Peter Casey was smiling after Chosen Rock won over six furlongs with the Gerry Keane-trained Red All Star in third place.
