Donoghue has The Story right at Down Royal
Dunshaughlin jockey Keith Donoghue was on the mark for trainer Gordon Elliott at Down Royal today. Donoghue was partnering his 17th winner of the season.
The Longwood-based trainer enjoyed a double at Down Royal where Donoghue partnered The Storyteller to victory in a maiden hurdle and JJ Codd won the bumper with Broken Soul.
Elliott had a total of 26 runners across four tracks - Leopardstown, Limerick, Down Royal and Wetherby.
Donoghue will be in action at Leopardstown tomorrow in the valuable Paddy Power Chase where he will be on board Cause Of Causes - one of six Elliott runners in the big race.
After today's action Elliott is on 127 winners for the season with Willie Mullins closing the gap on 95.
For champion trainer Willie Mullins there was a six-timer today with three winners at Leopardstown and three at Limerick.
