PICTURES: Meath became a Winter Wonderland tonight...

Meath turned into something of a Winter Wonderland this evening.. if only briefly and Meath Chronicle readers made sure to capture the moment.

Further snow showers are expected overnight with accumulations of snow in places, especially over the hills say Met Eireann. The showers are expected to become increasingly isolated later in the night. Very cold overnight with minimum temperatures of zero to minus 3 degrees, while there will also be strong and gusty northwesterly winds.

Friday will be cold and breezy with bright spells and a few wintry showers, mainly in the north and west. Top temperatures 2 to 5 degrees in fresh northwesterly winds.
