Tony Kearney's winning return with Tones
Tony Kearney got his second stint in charge of Wolfe Tones off to a positive start with a win over Na Fianna this afternoon by 3-10 to 0-12 in the preliminary round of the Feis Cup.
The Tones were leading by 2-7 to 0-5 at the interval with Cian Ward grabbing the two goals.
Na Fianna launched a mini-revival on the resumption and hit three points before a point from Cian Ward settled the Tones and this was followed by a goal from Éanna Harrington.
Na Fianna were best served by Shane Geraghty, Peter Slevin, Dean Henrick, Damien Downey, Owen McDonnell, Barry Slevin and Jamie Queeney.
