NEFL focus - Trim Celtic v Navan Cosmos Monday night
The North East Football League exited the FAI Oscar Traynor Trophy yesterday against hosts Carlow who earned a quarter-final tie away to the Limerick League at the beginning of March.
The North East League produced a battling performance, but Carlow got the breaks and recorded a 3-1 victory.
The big Monday night match in the NEFL this week is the eagerly-awaited Premier game between Navan Cosmos and Trim Celtic at the MDL, 8pm kick-off tomorrow night.
After that it's back to FAI Junior Cup action next Sunday for Navan Cosmos as they host Janesboro from Limerick at the MDL followed by a midweek trip to play Quay Celtic on 8th February.
Then, Navan Cosmos will host Donnycarney Utd in the fifth round of the Leinster Junior Cup with a place in the quarter-finals at stake on weekend of
12th February.
The other NEFL team in the frame for a quarter-final place, Duleek, will play Sandyhill Shangan Ath away.
