Meath hurlers get set for Derry on Sunday

Meath hurlers will be back in action in the second round of the NHL Div 2B at Páirc Tailteann on Sunday and manager Martin Ennis saw his injury list lengthen after he lost Kilmessan's Joey Keena in the second-half against Down last Sunday.

Already on the injured list are Darragh Kelly (Ratoath) and Mark O'Sullivan (Kiltale) and they are both probably another fortnight
away from getting back into contention for selection.

Keena sustained a facial injury on Sunday and could be out for more than a month - that could pave the way for Kiltale's Padraig Kelly to make a start on Sunday for the visit of Derry.

Derry started well last Sunday also, beating Mayo by a point (1-14 to 1-13) in Castlebar with Ruairi Convery scoring 1-5 of the overall tally.

Wicklow had a good win in Athleague against Roscommon and will host Mayo this weekend.

Roscommon, who were promoted from 3A, face the long trip to Ballycran to take on Down, who were beaten 2B finalists last year.
