Cash in Transit robbery in Kells

Kells Gardai are are investigating a Cash in Transit Robbery in Kells today outside the AIB branch at approx 11am today. There were two suspects involved. One suspect got out of a white Ford Transit van (05-D) brandishing a small weapon.

He threatened the security person and took a box containing cash. The van drove around the town and headed out the Gardenrath Road. The suspects tried to burn the van just before the fly over on the outskirts of the town.

If there was anybody on John St, around the AIB bank and saw any suspicions activity or saw the suspects running from a white van on the Gardenrath Rd let us know.
