'Hollywood in Eirinn' features Braveheart tonight
The making of Hollywood blockbuster ‘Braveheart’ is recalled on tonight’s episode of ‘Hollywood in Eirinn’, the popular TG4 series which visits towns that have played host to celebrated Hollywood productions.
The people of Trim surrounding areas have great memories of the summer of 1994 when Mel Gibson and the cast and crew of Braveheart came to town and the excitement it brought.
Local locations to feature in the movie include Trim Castle, Bective Abbey and Dunsany Abbey.
In tonight’s episode of ‘Hollywood in Eirinn’ which airs at 9.30pm on TG4, Séamus Moran visits the sites of Braveheart, of one of the biggest films ever made in Ireland.
Séamus Moran meets Sean McGinley who played Murron's father, the people of Trim who have kept the dream alive after 20 years, the man who was inspired to start a business after the departure of the film, and just some of the officers involved in the Curragh.
