Two hours of pure country in Late Late special
Country music superstar Charley Pride heads up a star-studded line up for this Friday night’s Late Late Show Country Special.
The Grammy nominated star, who topped the US Billboard Country Charts 29 times including his million selling hit Kiss An Angel Good Mornin’, is jetting in specially to join the brightest and best of Irish country music on The Late Late Show.
This year the show is going pure country with two hours of music and chat with some of the biggest stars on the Irish scene.
Also making a special appearance for the occasion is Charlie Landsborough, whose career was launched in earnest when 'What Colour is the Wind?' touched a chord with music lovers all over Ireland.
A veritable who’s who of Irish country music will join Ryan Tubridy for this year’s special including: Daniel O’Donnell, Nathan Carter, Derek Ryan, Lisa McHugh, Mick Flavin, Michael English, Cliona Hagan, John Hogan, Declan Nerney and Louise Morrissey.
Legends of Midlands country music including TR Dallas, Foster and Allen and the inimitable Brendan Shine will also be in studio. The Queens of Country – Margo, Philomena Begley and Susan McCann – will be reuniting for a very special performance.
Viewers can also look forward to appearances by RTÉ Irish Country Music Awards Entertainer of the Year Mike Denver and The Three Amigos - Jimmy Buckley, Robert Mizzell and Patrick Feeney - as well as Lee Matthews, Gerry Guthrie, Jimmy Devine, Johnny Brady and Marc Roberts.
A night of unique performances including a very special opening number featuring a host of stars singing the enduring hit ‘Country Roads’, this week's Late Late Show promises to be a great Friday.
