Tight at the top in NEFL Div 1
The race for the North East Football League Div 1 title got tighter at the top of the table after today's results with Ardee Celtic managing a narrow 3-2 win against relegation-threatened Torro Utd to join OMP Utd at the top of the table with three games remaining.
The prospects for Enfield Celtic worsened as they dropped to third place and they are currently five points clear of Black Bull, but have three games more played.
Enfield have one game remaining against Torro Utd and that will be played on Thursday 27th April, Torro also need a win in that one.
Before that game all the other contenders will have played again with Black Bull and OMP playing twice and Ardee once. Enfield need favourable results and also must beat Torro to stay in contention for promotion.
