Meath GAA Co Board golf day a big success
Meath GAA Co Board hosted a very successful Corporate Golf Day at Killeen Castle yesterday with senior football manager Andy McEntee taking time out from his busy schedule to present the prizes to the overall winnera nd the category winners.
The overall prize was scooped by the talented Tara Financial Services Ltd team and the prizes were accepted by John Collins and Conor Martin who both contributed enormously to the success with some great play on the day.
The Investec team took the runner-up position and the manager duly handed over the prizes to Philip Aherne, Rory Hogan and Brian Keating.
The annual golf day is an important part of the fundrasing activities of Meath GAA Co Board and the popular event is awlays well supported.
For manager Andy McEntee the focus will now turn to this weekend's senior football challenge when Meath will tackle Down in a game to mark the 50th anniversary of the Kilmainham club tomorrow (Sunday) - the game will start at 6pm (Kilmainham is located on the old N3 between Navan and Kells).
The following weekend there will be another senior football challenge when Meath tackle Cavan at Ballinlough GAA which is located between Kells and Oldcastle.
