Tragedy in Meath as driver (17) killed in single vehicle accident

Gardaí at Ballivor Co Meath are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Port Lester, Ballivor at approximately 7.15pm last evening, 12th May.

A 17-year-old male driver and sole occupant of the car was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided with a fence. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

This stretch of road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
