Countdown to Primary Schools football finals

The anticipation is building in many of the primary schools around the county as the new-look finals for the Cumann na mBunscol football competitions on Saturday 10th June and either Thursday 15th or Saturday 17th June.

This is a move away from what was the traditional November finals with the camogie and hurling played last year on those dates and the football moving to the end of term ahead of the summer holidays.

The Meath Chronicle will once again selecting recipients for the Spirit of the Finals awards - a player from each final - in conjunction with Generali and those awards.

Fixtures details of some of the crucial outsnading games to be played over the next week are listed.
